The 2025 Terrell ISD Bond Proposal is a community-driven plan developed by a committee of Terrell citizens who met in a series of meetings over several months.
The committee was composed of community members from across the district. Members included local civic and faith leaders, campus staff, parents, grandparents, and students They shared their opinions, perspectives, and concerns with representatives from the district and with one another.
The Board of Trustees charged the Facilities Planning Committee with the following:
Be a voice for the entire community in the facility planning process by reviewing the Long-Range Facility Plan.
Develop a bond recommendation to address current facility needs, create education excellence for students, and position the district for future growth.
Develop a plan that the Terrell ISD community can support.
They reviewed and analyzed the demographics, growth and enrollment patterns, tax impact scenarios, district finances, educational programs, and the current and long-term priorities and needs of the district. All committee members were able to ask questions, express their opinions, and offer suggestions and recommendations throughout the process.
The committee then prioritized those needs, and developed a package to present to the board.
All projects included in the bond were chosen by the committee members through a voting process, and this bond package is based on their recommendations.
