Choir and All-City Choir

Choir

Choral performance teaches students to overcome anxiety and to take risks. They learn poise, composure, and the value of continued effort to achieve excellence. As a direct result of making music as a team, students have the opportunity to build and cultivate lasting friendships. Above all, music performance students know the satisfaction, and the success felt as the result of hard work, which carries over into every other aspect of their lives.

The choir is open to students in grades 6-12. Auditions are required for participation in particular high school groups.

Elementary Music

The Terrell ISD music program begins at the elementary school level with a sequential, developmental, literacy-oriented General Music curriculum delivered by a highly qualified Music Specialist meeting one day per week. This instruction is enhanced at the individual campus level by various extra-curricular ensembles and the select auditioned All-City Children's Chorale made up of elementary students from across the district.
